Dr. Gallagher has had a passion for working with children for as long as she can remember! As a young 11-year-old girl, she independently created a learn-to-read program during her 6th grade recess for kindergarteners in her elementary school through to college where she volunteered countless hours at the Battered Woman and Children’s Center to dental school when she spent her lunch hour in the Well Baby Nursery providing physical connections for babies born to HIV+ and drug-dependent mothers. Nurturing children, connecting and being present with them to help them feel at ease has always been part of her nature.

Dr. Katie Buchbinder’s journey towards pediatric dentistry began at her mother’s dental office when she was six years old. She was captivated by the bustling atmosphere, wanting to participate playing “dentist” with her cousins and handing out prizes to other kids. Her passion for dentistry and working with kids was sparked by seeing these once frightened children leave with smiling faces.

Dr. Katie grew up in New Jersey and attained a degree in Chemistry at The College of New Jersey, graduating magna cum laude and honored as Phi Beta Kappa Scholar.

As a child, Dr. Shruti Patel could spend hours with a box of crayons and paper. After shadowing her uncle, she realized that dentistry was the perfect way to combine her passions for art, science, and helping others. Today, she has traded crayons for a mirror and explorer, using her creativity and compassion to help children create healthy smiles.

Dr. Shruti earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a Minor in Nutrition from Rutgers University, followed by a Master’s degree in Biological Science with a concentration in Oral Biology from Rutgers School of Graduate Studies.
